Design your database.
Visually. Together.
DBCanvas is a visual workspace for designing, importing and evolving relational schemas — with an AI copilot, live collaboration and revision history. From PostgreSQL to Snowflake, in the browser.
From existing database to shared source of truth
Whether you start from a blank canvas or a ten-year-old production schema, the loop is the same: bring it in, shape it, put it in front of your team.
Import what already exists
Connect directly to your database and reverse-engineer the schema — or paste DDL. DBCanvas reads tables, keys, relationships and even a preview of live rows.
Model on a canvas built for schemas
Drag tables, draw relationships, flag PII, keep notes on every object. One-click auto-arrange keeps large diagrams readable, and type conversion translates models between the major dialects.
Share it with the people who need it
Invite teammates with roles, hand a read-only link to anyone, and export diagrams as PNG, SVG or XLSX for docs and reviews.
Describe the schema. Watch it appear.
The Copilot reads your actual project — tables, keys, relationships, notes — so its answers are grounded in your model, not a generic one.
- Generate from plain language — turn a requirement into tables, keys and relationships you can apply in one click
- Ask questions about your model — "which tables reference accounts?" answered from the diagram in front of you
- Review before anything lands — every proposal is a preview — nothing touches the model until you apply it
One diagram, the whole team
Schemas stop being one architect's desktop file. Everyone works from the same living model, with roles deciding who can look and who can change.
Read-only share links are on every plan. Team workspaces — invites, roles and shared billing — come with the Teams plan.
Start free, upgrade when the team does
The free plan is a real plan — full diagram tools, three projects, no card. Paid tiers add scale and collaboration.

Questions people ask before signing up
Can I import my existing database?
Yes. Connect directly to any of the ten supported engines and reverse-engineer the schema, or paste DDL. Tables, keys, relationships and a small sample of rows come across.
Where is my data stored?
Project data lives in the EU (Frankfurt, AWS eu-central-1) with row-level security separating every workspace. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Is my schema used to train AI models?
DBCanvas never uses your schemas or prompts to train models. Copilot requests are processed transiently by third-party AI providers solely to generate the response you asked for.
What are Copilot credits?
Credits are the usage allowance for AI features. Every plan includes a monthly amount (100 on Free, 500 on Pro, 800 per member on Teams) that refreshes each month, and you can top up with credit packs whenever you need more.
What happens if I cancel?
Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then drops to Free. Your projects remain yours and stay accessible — the Free plan keeps full diagram tools and PNG export, so export anything you need before formats like SVG and XLSX are gated again.
How do accounts stay secure?
Email/password sign-in with optional TOTP two-factor authentication, role-based access enforced at the database layer, and read-only share links that expose exactly what you choose.
